the Metro and Illogical

“Always on our grind, so you can’t say we’re not worthy.” A line from the song “We Working” featuring X-File [a.k.a. Xavier ] is true when it comes to Illogical. The band performed at the Metro Lanes last Saturday to a heavy crowd, but credit for that crowd comes from the bands vigorous promoting of the event the night before. The group went out to Opera downtown in Atlanta during Keisha Cole’s album release party to pass out fliers for their own show. Despite the freezing temperature, the band worked hard to get the word out for the show the next night.

Saturday night at Metro Lanes, the band showed up in full fashion. They normally don’t appear in the club scene, but that doesn’t mean their music isn’t designed for it and the crowd was in the mood for some good music. Noxx, Majesty, X-File, and Joel Ray with Illogical shut the club down as more and more people began flocking to the scene once the drums started hitting. Old and new fans came to the stage to dance and sing with the artist. All in all, it was a fun night. The Metro is an established place with a bowling alley, two pool halls, dance hall, and bar. But, now that ILL 119 has been there, the Metro is…so illogical.
